Consultant's Overview

Bob first started programming in Basic at the age of 7 and has been using computers regularly for almost 15 years, both in a working environment and as a personal past-time. He has been writing Visual Basic since version 3 and has a good working knowledge of both Oracle SQL/PL-SQL and Microsoft SQL Server.

Whilst undertaking his degree he was employed on a temporary contract at his University as a helpdesk consultant and has worked as a Freelance Website developer for over a year, operating the complete development process, from client-requirements gathering to delivery for 6 sites in HTML and JavaScript.

This work had all been undertaken on a commercial basis, and has escalated through recommendations following an initial assignment to develop a site for a PR agency. He has undertaken all these assignments alone, from the initial design brief through planning, coding and implementation on the server – giving him a good grounding in commercial acumen and shows a dynamic and resourceful corporate awareness.

Most recently, he has been in employ as a software developer near Manchester performing full life-cycle development under the .NET Framework in Microsoft Visual Studio 2003, with database systems design in MS-Visio and MS-SQL Server 2000, application/interface design and realisation using C#, VB and various maintainence languages. The role involves implementation of Web-Services, Windows Forms and ASP.Net Web Applications.

He is dynamic and pro-active in character and would be willing to move for the right research/design development role. He would ideally be looking for a minimum salary of £18,000 and can be available for interview immediately.
